WOTW Site Round Up: June 2021

A few of our favorite sites from the last month.

In the last month, our Week of the Website team has worked on nearly 30 different projects, from simple upgrades to all-out, massive builds. Yeah, we’ve been a little busy.

Here are a few of our favorite sites, with a little Inside Baseball from the team behind them.

Jasmine Snow
This fashion expert needed a site that radiated her chic personal style while helping her connect with her readers, connect readers to deals, schedule personal styling services, and showcase her many media appearances.

Developer: Alex Lucke
Project Manager: Jeannine Gallagher

What our PM says: “Alex designed a gorgeous site for Jasmine Snow, a style expert with amazing imagery. She got her Shopstyle all linked up to help her audience find the latest styles and deals, and also added her blog, TV appearances, and her IGTV series. The site has bright pops of color and cursive throughout. Fun movements — like overlaying imagery at the top of the homepage, videos, color on hover for the buttons, and rounded image edges on hover — pull you right in.”

The Channeled Source
Katherine Flynn, a life purpose coach, needed a site that connected with her audience in the same way she connects with her clients. It also needed to convey her philosophies, detail her channeling and coaching services, share her upcoming events and her original written and video content.

Developer: Hazar Alkhawaja
Project Manager: Hannah Hageman

What the PM says: “Hazar did an amazing job capturing the brand of The Channeled Source in this beautiful website! In this collab with Emily from Made Better Brands, we built out a stunning website with full functionality for Katie’s channeling & coaching business.”

The AMPire Collective
Owner Dana Bowling needed a site that accurately communicated the excitement of building a business while succinctly sharing all of the ways they can help — like mentoring, coaching, resources, and 24/7 support.

Developer: Vanessa McKenzie
Project Manager: Jeannine Gallagher

What the PM says: “The site brings amazingly fun pops of color, some killer terrazzo patterning, and graphics to the client's sales page. It's definitely not another boring pitch page — and the client definitely didn’t want one of those. Vanessa was also able to guide the client when they weren't quite sure about their initial direction. She helped them discover what they wanted and it came through in this adorable site.”

Hari Mix
This globetrotter wanted to adequately convey his many jaw-dropping, next-level travels through photos, video writing. He also needed a place to share his thoughts and intensive research on climate change and solar power.

Developer: Justin Mabee
Project Manager: Jeannine Gallagher

What the PM says: Justin brought an ex-WordPress site to life on Squarespace for Hari Mix, an assistant professor in California who also trots the globe on expeditions. His site documents his travels with blogs, videos and TONS of awesome imagery. That made for some crazy long scrolls on his WP site. Justin redesigned the flow to prevent long scrolls and made it way easier for the audience to find the content they were looking for. The site is also just plain awesome to look at from a design standpoint.”

Treats de Cuisine
This Chicago-based company needed a playful site that showcased both their farm-to-paw philosophy and their genuine love for animals while making it easy for customers to scoop up treats individually or via a subscription service.

Developer:
Alex Lucke
Project Manager: Jeannine Gallagher

What the PM says: “Alex made a fun, pet-centric website that focused on bringing out the most important aspects of the brand — including products that are locally sourced, from farm to paw. Using adorable imagery as the cornerstone, the site was created with easy-to-use shop and subscribe functionality, as well as a fun image carousel to display their Featured Pupstomers. Crisp white backgrounds, beautiful fonts, and cute dog and cat silhouettes sprinkled throughout brought this design to life.”
