In Process: Friedges, Inc.

The Minnesota-based landscape company’s new website showcases just how far and wide their offerings go.

Friedges, Inc. is one of the largest commercial and residential landscaping service and supply centers in Minnesota. They also provide commercial excavating and development work along with having a commercial pipe and utility division gives them an edge over the competition as one source for all of a client’s construction needs.

Friedges, Inc. sought us out to modernize and build out their existing site. They felt as though their existing site was simply outdated and that the overall design was lacking. They wanted to showcase their wide range of offerings and their many completed projects, and wanted to make sure that every service — both completed and offered — stood out.

Here’s what they didn’t like about their existing site:

  • Overall look was outdated and not well done

  • Didn’t feature certain types of work

  • Didn’t reflect their level of experience

  • No portfolio page to display projects

  • Poor layout

Here’s how we’re working to achieve their goals:

  • An upscale redesign of the entire site

  • Improving the site’s layout

  • Modernizing the color scheme in a way that accentuates their brand

  • Creating individual portfolio pages for completed work/projects

  • Introducing what they do in earthwork and site utilities

  • Dedicating space to hiring employees/drivers

  • Adding imagery

For Friedge’s Inc., we really leaned into the simple yet elegant vibe. They didn’t want a site that was flashy or took away from their work, which should — and does — speak for itself. We were able to execute their vision by listening to their wants and needs, and then adding our unique spin on those.

It’s exactly what they wanted: sleek, modern, easy to navigate and to the point. Working with Megan at Friedges Inc. was smooth and such a pleasure, and we are all thrilled with the final site.
