New Member Areas Feature on Squarespace

For YEARS, we’ve helped clients to create gated spaces on their websites through the use of password screens, third party integrations and other tricky workarounds, but this week, Squarespace released their new Member Areas feature, which uses the power of Squarespace to create memberships, courses and other protected sections on your website. With this new tool, opportunities are endless! Squarespace users now have everything they need to create, share, and manage paid content. The combination of Squarespace/Acuity Scheduling and Member Areas is particularly interesting.

Whether you’re building a community, creating courses, promoting a special program or connecting with clients in an individual way, it’s a remarkable new tool. You’ll need to add a Member Areas subscription to your existing Squarespace website plan, but we think the included features make this a worthwhile addition.

Getting started is pretty straightforward, though you’ll want to do lots of prep work to make sure your content is ready before you begin. To start, you’ll create a website with Squarespace, and decide on a name for your member area. Then, you can add members-only content, from classes to newsletters, guides to videos. Once that’s done, you can customize your member area landing and sign-up page with details about what you offer. Once you cnect your preferred processor (PayPal or Stripe) you can start receiving fees. From there, you can Use Squarespace’s email marketing to connect directly to members with beautifully customized emails.

If this sounds daunting, don’t stress. Our team has created a WOTW package that’s a perfect fit for building out Member Areas - WOTW Plus. Reach out to us today and set up a call so we can talk you though how we can partner to help you create your amazing new Member Area enabled Squarespace site.
