AFMKTG specializes in brand communications and content marketing for Home Builders, Real Estate Developers, Hospitality Companies, Yacht Builders, Shipyards, and Luxury Direct-to-Consumer Brands. We demystify marketing. We position companies to win. We create content that converts. And we do it with style.

Tell us your origin story.

Amber Frankhuizen founded AFMKTG in 2018 on an ironing board. After burning out as a VP Sales & Marketing in the corporate world, she set out to take a few months off before getting back to work, but her phone rang with people asking for help with marketing and social media. She set up shop with a laptop and a makeshift standing desk and founded what is now a booming creative marketing agency.

Three words to describe your team?

Energetic, on-trend and allergic to boring.

Workplace essentials?

Our signature AFMKTG candle, neon signs, peanut M&Ms and matcha lattes.

Best source of creative inspiration?

Luxury hotels and resorts!

What would people be surprised to know about AFMKTG?

For as many client accounts as we manage, most of us have disasters of personal social media accounts.  We put all our energy into building for our clients, and forget to post for ourselves!

Project you’re particularly proud of?

Obsessed with the rebrand and website rebuild we did for CityMark, a legendary real estate developer in San Diego.  We took their 20+-year-old logomark and brand identity and brought it into the Roaring 20’s with simple style and lots of sophistication.

What are your favorite features of your WOTW site?

The custom mega menu and incredible assets on AlphaYachts.com has me drooling. The inspiration and portfolio pages on EastwoodDevelopment.com’s site is the best collection of modern home inspiration on the internet. And the cheeky copywriting and perfect display our culture on AFMKTG.com NAIL our vibe.

What was your favorite part of the WOTW process?

Working with amazing creative designers and developers! The process is super collaborative and with both sides bringing inspiration and ideas to the table, you know you’re going to get an above-average result.

Was there a moment you knew AFMKTG and WOTW would be great partners?

To say that we’re obsessed with efficiency is an understatement. We’re the type of people who obsess over the fastest route via Google Maps, know the fastest baristas at our coffee shops and don’t mince words. So when we knew there was a definite start and finish to our project and we’d be walking away with not just a new website, but an incredible new website within mere weeks — we were sold.

Favorite culinary combination?

Caviar and Champagne.

Wayne & Garth. Mary Kate & Ashley. Ramona & Sonja.
