Who is/are the brains behind your organization?
Jim and Mai Abdo from Abdo Development are the brains behind The White Moose Inn, and David Geyer is the mind behind marketing and web design.
Where are you located?
Our property is in Washington, Virginia, but our main offices are out of Washington, DC.
What’s your mission?
To create a relaxing escape from everyday life by offering a contemporary aesthetic in the Virginia countryside.
Tell us your origin story.
Originally built as a manor house, The White Moose Inn brings modern luxury to the area. In 2013, the property underwent renovations and reopened as The White Moose Inn with the intention of fusing modern luxury with the tranquility of Little Washington. The White Moose Inn offered Jim and Mai Abdo their first taste of hospitality management, and it has continued to be a pillar of their development company ever since.

What would people be surprised to know about your organization?
In addition to The White Moose Inn, Abdo Development owns Hotel Hive, DC’s first micro-hotel. The 83-room property offers a completely different experience than the eight-room inn but guests can expect the same great, personalized service at both properties.
What are your favorite features of your WOTW site?
Dropdown menus for our About and Local Area pages, embedded forms for group inquiries, and a singular page to showcase all of our guest rooms.
What was your favorite part of working with the WOTW team?
Katie and Alex were absolute rockstars who helped us create a beautiful website to showcase our property. They stuck to the deadlines and kept us in the loop with status updates along the way.
