Now THAT’S An Ecosystem

Have you ever heard the phrase, “The mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell?”

Maybe you last heard it in science class, or maybe you’ve seen the copious amounts of memes featuring this phrase. But when it comes to thinking about Week of the Website as an agency, it’s hard for this to NOT come to mind.

Because at our core, we are a larger ecosystem of small-business owners. All of our designers, PMs, copywriters and marketing experts are independent contractors — which is exactly how we want it to be! It allows our people to have the freedom to work on their own businesses, as well as work with others, even when they’re with us.

It also allows us to have myriad talented people we can reach out to when we need, well, anything. For example, yes, we build websites, but sometimes we also create mini brands or write your copy before sending you off to the SEO experts! We’re able to offer those important needs within our own service package simply because we have people who are able to do those things and are superb at it.

When it comes to the things we aren’t able to take on ourselves, like substantial marketing efforts or advanced SEO capabilities, we have so many friends who are willing to do those things, love to do it and are extremely good at it. ‘Tis the beauty of referrals, because similarly, those same people often send people who need websites our way.

All of these connections are working in tandem to create the WOTW ecosystem that powers the agency and creates a strong sense of community. Even though we’re our own business, we’re able to support other small business owners, and they’re able to support us. And after all, isn’t that what it’s all about?
